Transmission Technician

Mount Pleasant Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is hiring a Stellantis-Certified Transmission Technician to join our growing service department. As a key part of our heavy-line and powertrain team, you’ll take on both automatic transmission diagnostics and major repairs—supporting both warranty and retail customers in one of the fastest-growing dealerships in the Southeast.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose transmission performance issues using Stellantis scan tools and diagnostic equipment (wiTECH, TechAuthority)

• Remove, repair, and replace automatic transmissions (8-speed, 9-speed, ZF, etc.)

• Perform internal transmission repairs, clutch and valve body work, and torque converter replacements

• Support powertrain-related warranty and recall campaigns

• Collaborate with service advisors, parts, and warranty admin for accurate estimates and documentation

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the transmission bay and specialty tools

Qualifications:

• Stellantis (Mopar) Transmission Certification required or in progress

• 3+ years of experience in transmission or powertrain repair

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with automatic transmissions

• Familiarity with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram platforms

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• High attention to detail, efficiency, and quality

• ASE or ATRA transmission certifications a plus
