Job Description
Thoroughbred Sedan, Van & Bus is a local Maryland-founded small business looking for a reliable Auto Technician to join our team in Rosedale. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a solid mechanical foundation and is looking for a stable environment with a great schedule.
This is a fleet maintenance position working on our vehicles (primarily Ford Transits and E-450 mini-coach buses). This is an on-site/mobile lot position rather than a traditional shop role. It is a great fit for a technician who is excellent at troubleshooting, enjoys working independently, and likes being outdoors rather than stuck in a bay all day.
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday Saturday (Four 10-hour shifts)
Days Off: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off every week!
Location: Rosedale, MD area
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform oil changes and fluid top-offs for our fleet.
Safety Inspections: Conduct multi-point inspections, including tire pressure and tread depth checks, to ensure fleet readiness.
Light Repairs: Handle battery replacements, wiper blades, bulb changes, and other minor mechanical fixes.
Diagnostics: Accurately troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. While we cannot always fix major issues on-site, the ability to diagnose them correctly is a critical part of this role.
CDL Opportunity: Having a CDL is a huge plus for this role, as it allows you to assist with vehicle testing and transport.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an oil change or entry-level tech role.
Tools: Must have your own basic set of professional-grade tools.
Reliability: A dependable vehicle to get to our company lots and a strong work ethic.
Environment: Ability to work comfortably outdoors on our company lots (no lift or tire machine on site).
License: A valid drivers license is required (CDL is highly preferred and a major advantage).
