Continued learning credits Air-conditioned shop Diesel Technician / Mechanic Job Responsibilities: Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Perform maintenance services thoroughly and safely. Recommend additional repairs and services as needed Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy Communicate directly with the service consultants on vehicle's needed repairs and maintenance Properly diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturers' and dealers' specifications Properly follow manufacturer's repair procedures Conduct a wide variety of diagnosis and repairs on all vehicle systems Provide accurate and complete repair estimates to the service consultants Working knowledge of shop equipment and tools Diesel Technician / Mechanic Job Requirements: 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic Heavy / Medium-duty vehicle repair strongly preferred GM and/or ASE certifications a plus Maintain technical capabilities to ensure proficient and safe use of tools and equipment. Maintain factory and ASE training as pertinent to your position Desire to learn and progress Must have a valid drivers license and meet company motor vehicle report standards
