The skills and requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ASE certification and more than 3 years of experience. Conquest is seeking a Certified Mechanic that is dependable, hardworking, timely, takes pride in completing excellent repair, and a good team player with good customer service skills. Conquest requires the mechanic to have the following skills: 1. Be Adaptable: Meaning, the mechanic can learn something new and adapt in a quick manner. 2. Diagnostic & Mechanical Skills: The mechanic must be able to find the source of the problem quickly and efficiently, use their mechanical and electrical skills to complete the repair and get the vehicle back up and running without any returns. The mechanic needs to be knowledgeable about the wide variety of issues that can occur in vehicles and how to solve them. 3. Professional: Must have people skills and understand the importance of showing professionalism. It is important to put your best foot forward. For Conquest Auto, this means dressing in the appropriate attire, staying neat and nicely groomed, being respectful, showing integrity and embodying your company’s values and reputation. 4. Problem-Solving Skills: Be a good problem-solver. Problems will inevitably arise in your day-to-day work. This requires the ability to think on your feet. Whether a repair is taking longer than expected or a customer is unhappy with their vehicle, it’s your job to come up with a solution that is best for the customer and the company. 5. Work Ethic: Sound work ethic is a must. Put in the hard work required to get the job done. Give your all to every repair you work on to satisfy the customer.
