Responsibilities include liaising with customers and determine needs, providing clear and precise instructions on the work order for the technician, estimating and scheduling the work required, following through to make sure the work is completed correctly the first time in a timely manner and invoicing and collecting payment in a prompt and timely manner prior to vessels departure. We are to nearly 300 boats each winter up to 42' and service nearly 450 annually. We service all brands but are a Yamaha and Mercury Dealer, as well as Garmin, Power-Pole, Optimus 360, Fischer Panda, Venture Trailers and Seakeeper. Safe Harbor Edgartown is seeking a driven and high energy person to help drive our service department. This position will work under the Service Manager to ensure customers receive timely work estimates, work communication, transparency and billing updates. This person will also help manage technician work loads and task assignments to ensure an efficient and effective work flow. The ideal candidate will have marine related experience, boating background, or recent technical experience as well as a talent for customer service and handling customers. This person must be driven, have a high attention to detail, and have a love for the water.
