Pay Range: $25.00$38.00/hr + Production Bonus

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring experienced Automotive Technicians for a well-established independent repair shop in Stewartsville, NJ . This shop has been serving the community for more than 90 years and has operated under the same ownership since 1993, creating a stable, family-oriented environment where technicians can build long-term careers. This opportunity is ideal for both A Level Technicians with strong diagnostic skills and B Level Technicians who excel at repairs, maintenance, and light diagnostics . Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
• Diagnose drivability, electrical, and performance concerns using modern scan tools and testing equipment
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, engine, cooling system, and drivetrain repairs
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, alignments, and vehicle inspections
• Accurately document findings using Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) software
• Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training and certification opportunities

Qualifications

A Level Technician - One Open Position

• 35+ years of professional automotive technician experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Comfortable working independently on complex repairs
• Experience using advanced scan tools and diagnostic equipment

B Level Technician - One Open Position

• 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience
• Experience performing maintenance and repair work independently
• Comfortable with brakes, suspension, tires, alignments, and general repair work
• Light diagnostic experience preferred

For All Candidates

• ASE Certifications preferred (reimbursement available upon successful completion)
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive team attitude
• Dealership experience is welcome; independent shop experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• A Level Technician: $35.00$38.00/hr - Depending on Experience
• B-Level Technician: $25.00$30.00/hr - Depending on Experience
• Tiered production bonus program - Up to $5.00 per hour billed / turn added to your hourly pay rate
