About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Medium-Duty Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience repairing and restoring medium-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and fleet equipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements.
* Repair, replace, and align damaged body panels, doors, hoods, bumpers, and structural components.
* Perform bodywork including dent removal, panel straightening, welding, grinding, and metal fabrication.
* Measure and restore vehicle frames and structural components to manufacturer specifications.
* Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
* Remove and reinstall vehicle components such as lights, mirrors, trim, glass, and accessories.
* Operate frame machines, welding equipment, hydraulic tools, and other body repair equipment safely.
* Read and interpret repair orders, estimates, and manufacturer repair procedures.
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
* Conduct final inspections to ensure repairs meet company and customer expectations.
* Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
* Collaborate with estimators, painters, and other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.

Qualifications

* Minimum 25 years of auto body repair experience, preferably with medium-duty trucks or commercial vehicles.
* Must have their own tools!
* Ability to use measuring systems, frame equipment, and body repair tools.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry best practices.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
* Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
