- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Inspect vehicles for safety and mechanical issues.
- Diagnose simple automotive problems using diagnostic equipment and service manuals.
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as brakes, batteries, belts, filters, and wiper blades.
- Conduct tire services, including mounting, balancing, repairing, and replacing tires.
- Perform vehicle alignments (depending on training and shop requirements).
- Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify issues.
- Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules and repair procedures.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and services performed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all shop safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Assist experienced technicians with more complex repairs and diagnostics.
- Communicate vehicle conditions and repair recommendations to service advisors or supervisors.
- Ensure customer vehicles are handled professionally and returned in good condition.
- Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and certifications.
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic automotive knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills

- Ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

- Automotive vocational training (preferred)

- Must have a valid US government issued Driver's License, safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
