A-Level vs. B-Level Technician Overview
A-Level Technicians:

Pay range:
$40$47/hr + bonuses
B-Level Technicians:
- Strong mechanical repair technicians
- Comfortable performing brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, inspections, and general repair work independently
- Diagnostic experience is not required
- Work closely with senior diagnostic technicians when advanced troubleshooting is needed
Expected earnings:
$70K$95K
Pay range:
$32$38/hr + bonuses
What Youll Be Doing
A-Level Technician Responsibilities
- Advanced diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
- CAN bus diagnostics
- Battery draw testing
- Engine diagnostics and replacement
- Drivability troubleshooting
- R&R work
- Working with modern diagnostic tools and systems
- Producing 4550+ flagged hours weekly
Typical work mix:
- 60% diagnostics
- 40% maintenance/repair
B-Level Technician Responsibilities
- Brake and suspension repairs
- Steering and front-end work
- Maintenance and inspections
- Cooling system repairs
- Engine component replacement
- General mechanical repairs
- R&R work
- Producing 45+ flagged hours weekly
- Supporting senior technicians when needed
Pay & Incentives
Compensation is built for productive technicians.
A-Level Techs:
- $40$47/hr + bonuses
- Expected earnings: $90K$125K+
B-Level Techs:
- $32$38/hr + bonuses
- Expected earnings: $70K$95K
Additional Incentives:
- $250/week bonus for 50+ hours
- $150/week bonus for 45+ hours
- Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus paid over 3 pay periods
- Up to $500 toolbox relocation assistance

What Were Looking For
A-Level Technician Requirements
- 3+ years of automotive technician experience
- Strong diagnostic ability required
- Experience with electrical systems and drivability diagnostics
- Experience with CAN bus diagnostics preferred
- Ability to flag consistent hours
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Must provide own tools
- Chrysler/Mopar experience preferred
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required
B-Level Technician Requirements
- 2+ years of automotive technician experience
- Strong mechanical repair experience
- Ability to work independently on maintenance and repair work
- Ability to flag consistent hours
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Must provide own tools
- Chrysler/Mopar or domestic vehicle experience preferred
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required
- Diagnostic experience is not required
