Pay: $17$22 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary
The Shop Porter / Shop Assistant plays a key role in the daily operations of the facility by maintaining vehicle cleanliness, assisting with shop organization, and helping with opening and closing procedures. This position supports all departments to ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

Vehicle Care & Delivery Preparation
Wash, vacuum, and clean customer vehicles before delivery.
Perform basic interior and exterior detailing.
Remove dust, fingerprints, and polishing residue from repaired vehicles.
Conduct final cleanliness checks before customer pickup.

Shop Operations
Assist with opening and closing the facility each day.
Open gates, unlock designated areas, and prepare the shop for daily operations.
Secure vehicles, equipment, and facilities at closing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, parking lots, and customer areas.
Empty trash and assist with general facility upkeep.

Vehicle & Inventory Assistance
Move customer and company vehicles safely throughout the property.
Assist with receiving and organizing parts deliveries.
Help maintain vehicle parking and storage areas.
Support technicians, estimators, and office staff with various shop-related tasks.

Safety & Professionalism
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and vendors.

Qualifications
No experience required; training provided.
Valid driver's license required.
Clean driving record preferred.
Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous automotive, detailing, porter, or warehouse experience.
Familiarity with auto body shops or dealerships.
Basic knowledge of vehicle care and maintenance.
