Kia Automotive Service Technician
Location: Fairfield, Ohio

Position Summary
A Kia Automotive Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Kia vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. The technician performs mechanical, electrical, and computerized diagnostics while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC, and electrical components.
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and multi-point inspections.
Utilize Kia diagnostic equipment and service information systems to identify vehicle concerns.
Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs in accordance with Kia standards.
Test-drive vehicles to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
Accurately document findings, repairs performed, parts used, and labor times on repair orders.
Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the dealership.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status updates to service advisors and management.
Participate in ongoing Kia technical training and certification programs.
QualificationsQualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous automotive repair experience required.
Kia certification preferred but not required.
ASE certifications are a plus.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to operate computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
