Trailer Technician-Heavy Duty

Heavy Duty Trailer Technician / Heavy Trailer Mechanic with journeyman level experience needed. NW Fleet has day, evening and night shift openings available at our Troutdale shop location as well as an opening for a mobile trailer technician.

Responsibilities for the Trailer Technician / Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic:
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on heavy duty trailers.
Diagnose and repair air brakes, suspensions and lighting.
Perform repairs on semi-trailers including repairing and replacing side panels, roofs, headers and frame rails.
Utilize diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair electrical systems including working with sealed wire harnesses.
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and DOT inspections on trailers and dollies.
Utilize diagnostic tools to repair air ABS including Haldex, Bendix and Meritor using the InfoCentre or laptop.
Repair roll up and swing doors.
Maintain daily work records on all repairs performed both electronically and on paper.
You must have good communication skills and be able to work independently and as a team member.

Requirements for the Trailer Technician / Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic:
A background screen may be required.
Related Experience (minimum 1 years of experience as one of the following):
Trailer Technician / Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic
Trailer Mechanic
Heavy Duty Fleet Mechanic
Journeyman Trailer Technician / Journeyman Trailer Mechanic

Expected hours: 40 45 per week
Schedule: 4 and 5 day work weeks available. All shifts available.
