Wastewater Mechanic in Training

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanic in Training to support maintenance and repair operations at a water and wastewater treatment facility.

Pay: $2021 per hour DOE

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Valid drivers license required
Strong safety and work record
Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions and confined spaces
Must live within 30 minutes of Dodge City

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, motors (10 HP+), valves, piping, and plant equipment
Assist with repairs and replacement of motors, pumps, and electrical components
Diagnose equipment failures and complete repair work orders
Operate hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance systems
Work safely in confined spaces and around wastewater systems
Participate in rotating after-hours emergency call duty

Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and safety procedures
Ability to read schematics, manuals, and work orders
Basic computer skills for electronic work order systems
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
