Position Summary
Elder Corporation is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of Light/Medium Duty Vehicles.
This role is essential to minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has Ford training with hands-on diesel diagnostics and repair experience with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair light/medium duty vehicles
Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
Repair engines, transmissions, drivetrain and suspension components
Perform welding and fabrication as needed
Maintain accurate service records, work orders and parts orders electronically
Ensure all repairs meet company safety policies and DOT standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Participate in program-specific training as provided
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a light/medium duty technician
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
Experience using diagnostic software and tools
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics
Must provide basic mechanic tools (specialty tools supplied by company)
Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work extended hours during peak construction season
Proficiency in maintaining and updating equipment records electronically
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to work in both shop and outdoor environments
Comfortable working around heavy equipment and machinery
Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods
