Position Summary
Position: Lube Technician
Classification: Full Time; Non- Exempt
Reports To : Service Manager
Work Location : In person; 5225 I 10 E, Baytown, TX 77521
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
Conduct thorough multi-point inspections to assess vehicle condition.
Communicate additional service or repair needs to service advisors for follow-up.
Perform oil changes, fluid replacements, and lubrication of universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or air-powered tools.
Check and maintain fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, and rear axle housings.
Monitor and adjust tire pressure to manufacturer specifications.
Lubricate moving vehicle parts with appropriate lubricants.
Drain and refill crankcase oil, replacing oil and air filters as needed.
Add water to radiators and batteries as required.
Inspect vehicles for potential repair needs to ensure quality service.
Adhere to dealership policies, safety standards, and codes of conduct, minimizing exposure to fumes, dirt, and chemicals.
Other Duties May be assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic computer skills required to maintain CRM
Strong sales, communication, and customer service skills
Able to work individually as well as part of a team.
Relevant Work Experience & Other Requirements:
Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable based on driving record.
Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
Must be punctual and reliable.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, and/ or walk for extended periods of time
Physical capability to bend, reach, stand for extended periods, and lift over 60 pounds
