About this Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Required Qualifications

High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

At least one year of related experience in diesel mechanics.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no suspensions or restrictions, except for prescription eyewear.

Within three years of employment, must obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, and heating and air conditioning for cars and light trucks (at a minimum required rate per year)

ASE certification required within one year of employment, with a valid and current license maintained

Must be insurable under the State of Oklahoma Vehicle Liability Insurance

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Must possess mechanical aptitude related to automotive mechanical theory and operation

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and diagnostic tools

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment

Strong communication skills and attention to detail
