Reports To Supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance Supervises N/A Job Goal To keep equipment operating so that there is no interruption in the daily schedule of student transportation. Essential Functions Performs regular maintenance jobs involving a variety of skilled duties including using a computer laptop, Pro Link and A.C. Compression Service. Does engine repairs such as tune-ups, overhauls, and general maintenance. Performs major and minor motor repair and replacement work on trucks and other equipment. Works on air brake systems. Replaces valves and seats grinding. Brazes and welds metals as needed. Installs rings and bearings and effects proper adjustments. Overhauls and repairs carburetors and clutches. Tunes motors using standard testing equipment, cleans and replaces spark plugs, and installs radiator hoses. Repairs transmissions, differentials, front and rear axle assemblies. Takes down, repairs, and reassembles air compressors, pumps, and related equipment. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
