Pay Range
Hourly rate: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week plus overtime
7:30 am typical start time - may be earlier depending on operational demands

Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician , you will be:
Servicing John Deere equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.
Performing basic and complex diagnostics independently and solving basic and complex technical issues.
Performing pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership.
Operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process.
Following all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completing all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
Accounting for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.
Participating in Service Education Training programs is required for the development of skills and knowledge.
Maintaining a clean work area and performing work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
To be successful in this role, you should have:
4+ years of experience (or equivalent) performing service repairs.
Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by the Dealership.
Supplied with own tools and toolbox
Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes.
Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow the manufacturer s pre-delivery instructions.
Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
Ability to maintain labor performance and billable hours according to Service Leaders.
Knowledge of John Deere and competitive equipment, a plus.
