This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude who enjoy handson work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment. Position Overview Chassis Assembly team members are responsible for assembling components, subassemblies, and structural parts according to blueprints and work instructions. Work includes mechanical fitup, use of hand and power tools, and ensuring all assemblies meet quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble chassis components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and hoists Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions Align, position, and secure parts for proper fit Perform quality checks to verify measurements and specifications Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures Document production and quality information as required Requirements Previous manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience preferred Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions High School Diploma or GED Compensation & Shifts $21 per hour 1st Shift (6am-4:30pm) 3rd Shift (7pm - 5am) Weekend Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun form 11am-11pm) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
