Van Horn's Reconditioning Center of Plymouth has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician/Auto Mechanic.

Our Central Reconditioning facility in Plymouth is the hub that keeps our used vehicle operations running at their best, and we re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Reconditioning Technician to join the team.
We are hiring for all skill levels. Whether you re an experienced Used Car Tech or an entry level tech who wants new skills and career advancement, this is the opportunity for you!
The work consists of getting used cars ready for sales including minor repairs, tires, brakes, alignments and light diagnostic.
We offer flat rate or hourly compensation plan based on skill level and ambition. We have the volume that results on a lot of shop hours and pay.
Shift hours:
7 A.M. - 4 P.M. Monday - Fridays

What you'll do:
Perform mechanical inspections and reconditioning on late model pre-owned vehicles to prepare them for retail sale
Complete oil changes, fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and routine maintenance
Identify and document mechanical or cosmetic issues found during inspection
Perform light mechanical repairs as needed (brakes, batteries, belts, tires, etc.)
Work closely with the recon manager to prioritize vehicles and meet turn-time goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Follow all shop safety procedures and Van Horn standards
What We re Looking For:
1-2 years of automotive reconditioning, or automotive mechanical experience required
Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Ability to work efficiently and meet production goals in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record
Positive attitude and strong work ethic - team players want
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required License / Certifications:
Valid / Active Driver s license
Education and Experience:
Technical College Automotive Diploma preferred
ASE Certification/Manufacturer Training preferred
Two or more years automotive experience
