Diesel Mechanic

Seeking a Diesel Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Middletown, DE. Pay: $38 - $45 per hour (based on experience) + Benefits! Responsibilities: Inspect trucks, trailers, and related systems to identify issues Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems Repair or replace defective parts (engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions) Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks) Test drive vehicles to ensure proper operation after repairs Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues Maintain detailed service records and reports Follow safety standards and regulations (e.g., DOT compliance) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (required) Technical training in diesel mechanics (preferred) Certification such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) is a plus 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair CDL is preferred or able to be obtained Required Skills Extremely strong ability to diagnose Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Basic computer skills (for diagnostics and reporting) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy parts (50+ lbs) Stand, kneel, and work in tight spaces Work in shop environments If you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
