Jay's Automotive, a trusted family-owned automotive shop in Shelby Twp,  is looking for a motivated and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our team. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, and we are seeking a dedicated individual who shares our values. We welcome both entry-level and experienced candidates who are ready to work in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Inspecting vehicles and recommending maintenance and needed repairs
• Performing automotive maintenance and repairs
• Changing oil and filters
• Tire installations and repairs
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Ensuring vehicles meet Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) standards

Required Skills:

• Experience in automotive repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of basic electrical/charging, braking and suspension systems
• Ability to perform strength & conditioning tasks
• Ability to take direction and work independently 
• Must have a Driver's License

Nice to Have Skills:

• Computer based inspections and repair solutions
• Knowledge in engine and systems diagnostics
• Experience with inspections and quality control inspection
• Experience in welding

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $20,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $120,000.00
