Automotive Service Technician / Maintenance Mechanic

Thomas Sign & Awning, an award-winning sign company in Clearwater, Florida, is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician / Maintenance Mechanic to maintain our Fleet.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. The Service Tech / Maintenance Mechanic performs scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to our fleet of trucks (light and heavy), vans, forklifts and cranes. This person works with a high degree of independence. Position also requires a number of physical movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.

Job Requirements:

Make repairs and perform preventative maintenance
Perform vehicle and related equipment inspections
Maintain vehicle records as required
Ability to maintain drive shaft components
Simple brake replacements
Oil change and grease fitting maintenance
Troubleshoot for major repairs
Other:

Regular, reliable attendance is a must.
You must have your own basic tools to perform the job.
Military experience is a plus.
Occasional overtime or weekend emergency calls may be necessary, such as a minor roadside repair.
