West Coast Arborists, Inc. is hiring for a Mechanic at Sacramento yard. Perform maintenance and repairs to all company vehicles and equipment as directed.
WORK HOURS
Typical hours are from 6:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional overtime hours and Saturday schedules may be required.
SALARY RANGE
Starting salary is $ 22.75 -$37.40 + Fringe Benefits $11.37.
Total compensation up to $48.77 per hour,D.O.E.
Overtime rate is one and one half times regular pay after 8 hours per day. Payroll is paid weekly.

High school diploma
Read, speak and write English
Must be physically fit & pass pre-employment physical
A valid Drivers License
Must pass company driving test
Ability to work in adverse conditions
Reliable transportation
Professional and/or vocational schooling or equivalent (as determined by WCA) related in mechanic areas
Expertise in fleet maintenance
REGULAR JOB DUTIES
Work on Heavy Duty Trucks and Equipment.
Have the skills and experience to provide maintenance and diagnosing on diesel
engines and chassis
Repair vehicles and equipment as directed both at company facility and in field
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems
Fabrication and welding skills
Determining priorities, show enthusiasm while working accurately, concentrating
amid distractions, remember details, making decisions, work rapidly but safely,
work well with others, work well alone, and work under pressure
Must complete service requests completely, accurately, and legible
Perform other duties as requested
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES RECOMMENDED
Valid CA Drivers License
Mechanic Certification-preferred
California Air Resource Board truck inspections-preferred
