Automotive Parts Manager

Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Parts Manager oversees all parts operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective parts procurement and inventory management. They work closely with technicians, vendors, and other departments to maintain seamless workflow in the shop.



Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain optimal inventory levels of parts and supplies.
• Order, receive, and inspect all incoming parts for accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors for pricing, availability, and timely delivery.
• Track and report on parts usage, inventory turnover, and loss prevention.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all parts.
• Maintain accurate records in parts management software.
• Train and supervise parts department staff, if applicable.
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts.



Qualifications
• 3+ years experience in auto body or dealership parts management.
• Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., CCC, Mitchell, or similar).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
