Are you an expert mechanic? Can you pull a motor, install heads, cams and supporting modifications? We’re looking for an experienced master mechanic for performance builds and repairs to include everything from a supercharger install to cam and heads, to a full motor build.  Successful applicants will have engine building and modification experience. Transmission and suspension experience is a plus.

Essential Duties – Job Description

  • Recommend, plan, install, test and troubleshoot aftermarket engine performance parts.
  • Disconnect, disassemble and remove motors for performance upgrades.
  • Reassemble, install, and connect motors after performance upgrades.
  • Install a variety of aftermarket engine performance parts from superchargers, turbochargers, heads, pistons, cams, intake manifolds, cold air intakes, headers, and exhausts.
  • Recommend, plan, and install supporting parts and modifications for engine upgrades such as timing chains, seals, rockers, springs, water pumps, injectors, fuel pumps, clutches, torque converts, drivelines, axles, differentials, etc.
  • Test, diagnose, and resolve any issues that occur as a result of the performance upgrades.
  • Reassemble motors and re-install in vehicles after custom work has been completed ensuring no damage occurs to OEM components or aftermarket parts.

The Ideal Applicant

  • Experience with engine performance upgrades and modifications.
  • Expert proficiency with engine parts installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications.
  • Experience with engine and transmission removals and re-installation.
  • Detail oriented and meticulous about labeling and documentation.
  • Strong understanding and respect for factory torque specs and assembly procedures.
  • Experience and ability to read manufacturer diagrams, instructions, and specifications.
  • Advanced engine related tool and shop experience.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team environment.
  • Hungry and driven to succeed.
  • Maintains a strong desire to learn, try new ideas and get creative for customers and projects.
  • Highly respectful of customers time, property, and quirks.

Beneficial Skills and Knowledge (Not Required for Consideration)

  • ASE Certification
  • Engine management ECU, ECM, BCM re-mapping knowledge and experience
  • Ability to disassemble, upgrade, and re-assemble bottom end of engine blocks to include crankshafts, pistons, and connecting rods to high-performance specifications.
  • Transmission upgrade and rebuilding skills and experience.

The opening is a full-time position which requires 40 hours a week and regular work schedule at our Phoenix AZ-based shop. Our hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday thru Friday. We provide the tools and equipment you need for all vehicle disassembly projects.  

Compensation: DOE +Bonus Opportunities

This is a Non-Exempt full-time position
