Lead Mechanic / Team Leader

Join Germantown Hardware as a Lead Mechanic / Team Leader and take on a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our mechanical team. In this position, you will not only be performing hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment but also utilizing your leadership skills to manage workflow, ensure safety compliance, and support team development. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for all store activities in the absence of salaried store management, embodying our company's culture through the execution of our Mission and Values.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure timely, quality service.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment, vehicles, or machinery.
• Assign tasks based on team members' strengths and job priorities; monitor progress and quality of work.
• Train and mentor team members to improve performance, safety awareness, and technical skills.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, operational procedures, and maintenance standards.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a mechanic in a business environment with a strong technical skill set.
• Professional small engine experience highly preferred.
• Steel certification preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and recommend effective solutions.
