Description: Diagnosis and repairs of the tractor/trailer fleet for tires, wheels, and rims to determine cause of damage; identify cause and recommend equipment repairs related to tire damage. Completion of all necessary Tire Department tags and work orders. Moving of equipment in/out of the Tire Shop and around the yard. Moving and sorting of tires for inventory and inspection purposes. Loading and unloading of tires for shipping and receiving. Perform and track daily cycle counts, and submit/report them to direct supervisor in a timely manner. Price and Credit Customer/Owner Operator Tires per Swift policies. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Skills: Ability to read and understand repair manuals and complete tags and repair orders. Keyboarding skills required Must be able to lift and move tractor/trailer tires as needed (100 lbs). Knowledge and Verification of Tire data entry. Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience Required: Requires valid drivers license. Twelve months tire related experience in the transportation, heavy equipment, or agriculture industry; or graduation from an accredited technical school with a certificate in a tire related field (this graduation and certificate may substitute for a High School Diploma or GED.)
