Myrtle Beach car dealership seeking a Service Consultant (Service Writer) JOB DESCRIPTION: We are a very high traffic repair facility. Our Service Consultants must be able to multitask, and handle a high volume of customers. This career consists of welcoming our customers, addressing their concerns and being able to document the customers concerns on to a repair order in such a manner that the customer and the technician are able to understand the concern. Customer vehicles are then dispatched to a team leader who will then distribute the work to your assigned technicians. Once the repair order is received back from the technician, the service consultant will evaluate the repair needs of the customer, address any needed and/or recommended maintenance/repairs and present the findings along with an estimate to the customer. Service consultants are responsible for ensuring promise times and estimates are accurate and met, as well as keeping their customers informed of the progress of their vehicle. Service consultants are responsible for ensuring that the paperwork has been completed properly prior to submitting the repair order for finalization. Other various tasks are to be completed by the service consultants on daily, weekly, monthly and annually intervals. Such tasks include but are not limited to, Advisor/Tech team meetings, calling customers to advise them that parts have been received, Advisor/Service Manager meetings, technician reviews, ect. JOB REQUREMENTS: High School Diploma or equilivent. At least 1 year previous experience as Service Consultant. Great Customer service skills and ability to multitask is a must.
